Employment Services
Easterseals provides a variety of services for individuals with disabilities seeking employment opportunities.
Overview
Because experience has taught us that meaningful employment is one of the best ways to boost an individual’s self-esteem and sense that they play a valuable role within their community, Easterseals strives to help pave the road to independence through employment.
Easterseals New Jersey offers multiple employment sites/community rehabilitation programs throughout New Jersey, offering pre-vocational evaluation, work adjustment training, school-to-work transition, supported employment, extended employment, and job placement services.
Our Programs
Prevocational Training
Participants work with dedicated employment service staff to learn work-readiness skills that will prepare them to work out in the community at an actual job site. Not only will they experience what it’s like to work in a professional environment, but they will even earn a paycheck.
Supported Employment
Whether an individual is looking for competitive, customized, or self-employment, Easterseals staff are ready to provide the support they need to succeed. In our Supported Employment program, job coaches work with participants to identify career goals and achieve them.
Career Pathway Connections
Partnering with The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, our Career Pathways Connections program provides person-centered employment opportunities for the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and hard-of-hearing community in New Jersey.
