Prevocational Job Training

Build the foundational skills you need to succeed in the workplace. Our Prevocational Job Training program combines hands-on workshops, real-world practice, and supportive coaching to prepare participants with disabilities for competitive employment.

What We Offer

  • Functional Skills Workshops: Interactive group sessions on time management, workplace communication, money handling, and basic computer literacy.
  • Job Sampling Experiences: Short‐term placements in local businesses—try cashiering, stocking, office support, or hospitality tasks under guided supervision.
  • Soft-Skills Development: Role-plays and coaching on professionalism, teamwork, problem-solving, and customer service etiquette.
  • Workplace Behavior Coaching: One-on-one support to practice routines, follow schedules, and adapt to different work environments.
  • Career Exploration & Goal Setting: Personalized sessions to identify strengths, interests, and realistic career pathways—complete with resume drafting and mock interviews.

Who Is Eligible?

Individuals aged 16 and over with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities who require foundational job-readiness training. Funding may be available through school transition programs, vocational rehabilitation, Medicaid waivers, or self-pay.
