JAMESBURG, NJ, July 9, 2026 -- Easterseals New Jersey, a statewide disability services organization with more than 75 years of service across New Jersey, today launched its 2026 Summer Appeal fundraising campaign in honor of Disability Pride Month.
The campaign, titled "A Summer of Possibility," invites individuals, families, and businesses across New Jersey to support programs that help people with disabilities live, learn, work, and thrive. Funds raised will support employment services, behavioral health programs, residential supports, and community-based services that Easterseals NJ provides to more than 4,200 New Jerseyans each year.
"Disability Pride Month is a time to celebrate the strength and contributions of people with disabilities across our communities," said Phillip Daniels, Director of Development at Easterseals New Jersey. "But it is also a call to action. At a time when federal and state funding cuts are creating real pressure on the programs our consumers depend on, private support has never been more important. We are asking our community to stand with us this summer."
The campaign features a new online giving page, a series of donor communications, and a video message from Daniels describing the organization's impact. The fundraising page includes success stories from program participants, including Umur Cakar, a Supported Employment participant who secured full-time employment after eight months of working with an Easterseals employment specialist.
"Umur came to us with a goal, and our team showed up for him every single week until he reached it," Daniels said. "That is what this campaign is about -- making sure we can keep showing up."
