Easterseals’ Hamilton Habilitation Center Celebrates Development Disabilities Month

Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo visited the Hamilton Habilitation Center for Developmental Disabilities Month 

HAMILTON, NJ -- Easterseals New Jersey recently commemorated Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month with a visit by local Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo at the Hamilton Day Habilitation center.  

On Tuesday, March 21, DeAngelo visited the center located on Quakerbridge Road that provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with socialization and life skills.   

During the visit speaking with clients at the center, Easterseals spoke with DeAngelo about the need to improve staffing, transportation, and funding for community disability providers. 

DeAngelo praised Easterseals for playing an "important role in our community and throughout the state." 

"They provide resources, care, and structure to many lives. Being able to visit the facility, I could see how the independence gained through the program provided so much joy to everyone. That is why I am dedicated to the continued funding of Easterseals and the improvement of their services," said DeAngelo. 

Easterseals NJ is a nonprofit serving over 4,000 adults across the state in a wide variety of disability and mental health services. For 75 years, Easterseals has worked to help individuals live, learn, work, and play in their communities.
